CATERING SERVICES DEPARTMENT
CHEF (1 POST)
The incumbent will report to the Catering Services Supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities
Menu planning and menu engineering.
Food preparation and service to students and staff.
Handling of food stocks in the front pantry.
Raising of stock requisitions.
Recording of received food and beverage provisions onto the bin cards.
Recording of daily sales into the daily sales summary book.
Preparation of statement of comprehensive income for the canteen.
Ensuring that the work station is spotless clean.
Performing any other duties as assigned from time to time.
Desired Qualifications and Experience
Class 1 Journeyman certificate.
Holder of NC Certificate in Professional Cookery.
ND/HND in Professional Cookery is an added advantage.
At least three (3) years post qualification experience in a reputable organization.
University experience is a distinct advantage.
Knowledge of outdoor catering services is a requirement.
