Duties

The incumbent is responsible for ensuring Marine Security Guards (MSGs) are transported in a safe and timely manner to all official functions day and night. The incumbent meets MSG VIP visitors at the airport and assists during their visit. Delivers other official documents to the Government of Zimbabwe and other diplomatic missions. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining one official vehicle, to include daily washing and preventative maintenance checks.

Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: Three years of experience in driving all types of vehicles is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of traffic rules and regulations in Zimbabwe is required. The incumbent be familiar with streets in Harare and have some knowledge of road network in Zimbabwe. Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance (fuel, tire change/pressure check) is required.
Education Requirements:
Successful completion of secondary education is required.
Evaluations:

LANGUAGE: Level 3 English is required:Must be able to read and write English sufficiently to follow written instructions.
Level 3 Shona/Ndebele is required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to drive all types of vehicles within specified class safely. Must be able to deal with public in a courteous manner. Must be able to change a flat tyre and know how to check tyre pressure level and radiator. Must be able to learn how to use the radio. Class 2 and Class 4 Driver’s License is required.
