CERTIFIED LIGHTING EFFICIENCY PROFESSIONAL (CLEP)
TRAINING

The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) invites candidates with at least five (5) years’ experience in the lighting systems, building services or energy use related systems to submit an expression of interest for Certified Lighting Efficiency Professional (CLEP) training to be conducted in Harare from 2 to 4 June 2025 after which they will be required to write an examination physically after the training on 6 June 2025. This training initiative serves to build capacity in line with the provisions of the
SI 2018-208 Electricity (Inefficient Lighting Products ban and Labelling)
Regulations and envisaged Energy Management Regulations which provide for mandatory energy audits for all intensive energy users once every three years in view of saving energy. The training targets participants with energy management, industrial lighting systems, energy performance, lighting system designs, building design and management experience. The certification is accredited by the Association of Energy Engineers (USA) and the training will be conducted in partnership with Institute of Energy Professionals Africa (LEPA).
After training, the participants will be required to submit to the Authority feedback reports on activities within their practices.
The training fee is subsided by ZERA, and selected participants will be required to pay US$ 300.00 before the training commences.
