Vacancy : CARTOGRAPHER
REPORTS TO: Senior ICT & Voter Registration Officer
STATION: Voter Registration & Delimitation Department – Head Office
GRADE: 8/7
Summary of Duties
- Providing cartographic and geographic information systems support to the voter registration processes;
- Advising on best practices in meeting voter registration requirements;
- Establishing and maintaining digital geospatial database systems
- Preparing source material for digitising electoral boundaries, attribution, coordinate transformations and geo-referencing;
- Conducting field map verification exercises
- Any other electoral duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications/Job Specifications
- Degree in Cartography, Geography, GIS, Geoinformatics, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- Relevant professional qualifications
- Relevant work experience in geo-spatial mapping
- Knowledge of geo-spatial production techniques, and GIS software packages
