Constructs, repairs, and installs buildings frameworks and structures made from wood and other materials.

Duties And Responsibilities

 Cuts, shapes, levels, and fastens together pieces of wood and other construction materials, such as wallboard, plywood, and insulation.

 Comes up with recommendations on material to be used.

 Matches materials to requested design specifications.

 Paints and polishes the furniture and crafted work

 Designs all furniture as per the needs of the company.

 Repairs chairs, desks, other furniture and wood items.

 Works with Designers and Planners on construction projects.

 Measures building materials and spaces for installation accurately.

 Orders building materials as needed.

 Inspects and replaces damaged framework or other structures and fixtures

 Any other related duties as assigned by the Superior.

Qualifications And Experience

 5 ‘O’ level subjects including English Language and Accounts / Mathematics.

 Class One Journeyman in Carpentry and Joinery.

 5 years-experience in a similar role.
