The Ecumenical Church Leaders Forum is a platform uniting Christian ecumenical bodies in Zimbabwe to promote peacebuilding, healing, reconciliation, good governance, and accountability. ECLF’s mission is to build a peaceful, just, and democratic society through the empowerment of church, community, and leadership.

🕊️ PROJECT OVERVIEW

Project Title: Deepening the Foundations of Peace for Social Cohesion and Peaceful Elections
Goal: Enhance social cohesion, non-violent conflict resolution, and build trust in local governance through local peace structures and inter-community dialogue.

🎯 EVALUATION OBJECTIVES

Assess the project’s:

• Effectiveness in achieving peacebuilding outcomes

• Relevance to community needs

• Efficiency in resource use

• Impact (positive/negative, intended/unintended)

• Sustainability of outcomes

• Coherence with other peace efforts

• Integration of gender, climate, conflict sensitivity, and accountability

🔍 EVALUATION SCOPE

• Geographic Focus: Bulawayo, Chivi, Gwanda, Mberengwa, Tsholotsho

• Target Groups:

  • Local Peace Committee members

  • Church, community, political, traditional leaders

  • State officials and district focal persons

  • Youth, women, men, and minority groups

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s in Development Studies, Peacebuilding, Political Science, M&E, or related

• Proven experience evaluating peacebuilding, gender justice, or community development projects

• Skills in participatory research methods and outcome harvesting

• Fluency in Shona, Ndebele, Sesotho, and English

• Strong report writing and communication skills

• Experience working with faith-based or community-led projects is highly preferred

• Must submit 2 samples of relevant past evaluations
