 Buyer

The incumbent will be reporting to the Branch Manager.
Qualifications and Experience
• Degree in Purchasing and Supply Management Supply Chain Management or equivalent
• 3 years’ experience m similar role.

Summary of Duties
• Sources and negotiates with suppliers.
• Develops and maintains relationships with suppliers, negotiating favourable terms and conditions to ensure cost-effective procurement.
• Conduct research to source the best products and sen-ices in terms of best value, delivery and quality
• Ensure the security- and sustainability of sources of essential products and services.
• Drafting requests for proposals.
• Negotiate and agree on contracts, monitoring the quality of service provided
• Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including purchase orders, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management
• Maintaining a list approved of suppliers and to investgate new or alternative sources.
• Evaluating suppliers’performance.
• Undertake value for money reviews of existing contracts
• Forecast price trends and their impact on future activities
• Ensuring suppliers are paid on time
• Establishing and maintaining intelligence and record systems.
• Produce appropriate reports and recommendations
• Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring timely replenishment and minimizing stock outs.
• Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in sourcing and procurement practices
• Any other duties as assigned by the Superior.
