Job Summary
A start-up company seeks to employ a Business Development Officer based in Harare for its roofing sheet manufacturing business operations.
Duties And Responsibilities
• New business acquisition through various channels
• Work strategically – carrying out necessary planning in order to implement business operations.
• Managing product development and review.
• Think strategically – seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business.
• Responsible for business development, market research and sales of products.
• Research and identify new business opportunities – including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services.
• Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.
• Generate leads and cold call prospective customers and suppliers.
• Foster and develop relationships with customers/clients/suppliers.
• Understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these.
• Ensure staff are on board throughout the organization, and understand the need for change and what is required of them.
• Developing goals for the development team and business growth and ensuring they are met.
Qualifications And Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field.
• A proven ability to plan, develop and execute business development strategies.
• Proficient in market research, analysis and presentation.
• Strong business acumen.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must have at least 4 years of relevant experience in the manufacturing sector.
• Age minimum: 35years.
