JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is a material science and engineering company involved in the manufacturing of specialized materials such as adhesives, coatings and sealants for use in infrastructure development (construction and rehabilitation) as well as in the mining industry. The business operates two divisions, the DIY (Do It Yourself, within the retail business) and Industrial (institutional business i.e. construction and mining industry).
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Wanted is an efficient, well organized, self-motivated, dynamic and multi-skilled team leader to join as a Business Development Executive (BDE). The successful incumbent will be based in Harare with a mandate of developing a robust domestic and Southern African regional market. In addition, the BDE will focus on customer acquisition, lead generation, and prospect management, as this role will garner and meet with potential clients.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- A Marketing / Business Degree
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the same or a similar position
- In-depth knowledge of the industry and its current events/dynamics;
- Excellent communication (including presentation skills);
- Able to provide quality leadership to a team of sales personnel;
- Strong ICT skills
- Ability to solve tough problems, handle pressure and meet deadlines;
- Attention to detail;
- Experience with lead generation and prospect management;
- Demonstrated and proven sales results.
