JOB DESCRIPTION
TIPS, a subsidiary under the Scientific and Industrial Research and Development Centre (SIRDC), seeks the services of outstanding and results oriented individuals to be part of our dynamic team to fill in the following vacancies that have arisen within our organization. The positions report to the TIPS Manager.
ACCOUNTANT
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly accounts and reports
- Developing and implementation of financial systems and procedures
- Transactions processing, posting, managing ledgers and reconciliations
- Advise management on operational and financial matters affecting TIPS
- Preparation of audit schedules and liaising with Internal and External Auditors
- Ensuring statutory and internal policies compliance
- Run workshops and training sessions relating to business and finance
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Accounting. Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or CIS. MBL or MBA will be an added advantage.
- At least 5 years working experience with proficiency in using Pastel.
- Clean Class 4 Drivers Licence.
BUSINESS ANALYST
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide computer and digital systems technical support through systems analysis, design development and utilization of e-business
- Conduct financial, market and processes analysis, inorder to identify opportunities
- Gather, validate, analyse and document business information
- Conducting due diligence and developing strategies for partnerships
- Run workshops and training sessions relating to IT or business
- Facilitating the development of effective industrial strategies for key sectors and SMEs
- Contributing towards the shaping of income generation strategies for TIPS
Qualifications and Experience
- BBS Finance/BSC/B.Com in Management and Information Technology/Computer Science degree. MBA or MBL.
- 5 years experience.
- Clean class 4 Drivers Licence.
