Position Overview

 

 

The Business Analyst acts as a crucial intermediary between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into actionable requirements. This role encompasses analyzing business processes, identifying opportunities for optimization, and recommending solutions that align with organizational objectives. The Business Analyst plays a pivotal role in driving efficiency, enhancing processes, and ensuring technology solutions effectively meet business requirements.

Responsibilities

 

 

• Conduct comprehensive stakeholder interviews, workshops, surveys, and document analysis to gather and document detailed business requirements.

• Analyze existing business processes, systems, and workflows to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for process improvement.

• Develop and maintain detailed process models (e.g., BPMN, As-Is & To-Be flowcharts) to visualize current and future state processes, utilizing industry-standard frameworks and tools.

• Identify and evaluate opportunities for process optimization, automation, and re-engineering to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

• Recommend and document process improvements aimed at enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and improving service delivery.

• Conduct thorough gap analysis to identify discrepancies between current and desired business processes.

• Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between business and technical teams.

• Present findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders in a clear, concise, and professional manner.

• Evaluate potential solutions, including software applications and process changes, to determine their feasibility and alignment with business requirements.

• Develop comprehensive business cases and cost-benefit analyses to support solution recommendations.

• Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies, and implement Agile principles and frameworks in collaboration with technical staff.

• Conduct research on emerging and disruptive technologies and propose strategies for their integration to enhance existing business processes and systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business and system requirements into detailed functional requirements.

• Perform comprehensive ICT project risk assessments, identify potential risks, and develop robust mitigation strategies.

• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) for all application software/solutions to verify their fitness for purpose and user acceptability, in collaboration with technical staff.

• Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

• Participate in project and test planning, execution, and monitoring activities.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business process enhancement documents and detailed process flows.

Qualifications

 

 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

• Professional certifications in business analysis, such as CBAP or CCBA, are considered a significant advantage.

Skills

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst, with a demonstrated ability to effectively analyze business processes and requirements.

• Demonstrated experience in requirements elicitation, documentation, and management.

• Practical experience with process modeling and improvement techniques.

• Experience utilizing project management tools and methodologies.

• Comprehensive knowledge of business process modeling techniques, such as BPMN.

• Familiarity with requirements management tools, including Jira and Confluence.

• Demonstrated strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to contribute to the development of effective application software/solutions.

• Proficiency in process and system design utilizing CASE tools, such as UML and Microsoft Project.

• Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with database design, data modeling, and query optimization.

• Practical experience in software development using modern programming languages, including Java, PHP, ASP.NET, C#, and Python.

• Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

• Proven ability to function effectively as a collaborative team player within cross-functional teams.
