Vacancy : Building Inspector
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the above vacancy that has arisen in the Engineering Services Department. Those who applied before need not apply
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least a Diploma in Construction Design and Technology
- A minimum of 5 O Levels including Mathematics, English and Science
- Have completed a recognised apprenticeship and qualified as Class 1 Bricklayer
- At least 3 years post qualification experience, Sound knowledge of Model Building by-laws
- A clean Class 4 Driver’s License
Duties and Responsibilities
- Carrying out building inspections on all construction sites
- Approval of Building Plans
- Carrying out sporadic check to identify, illegal developments
- Keeping proper record of approved plans
- Ensure all Council Buildings are well maintained and kept in sound state
- Issuance of Building permits
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
