Key Responsibilities
- Receives drawing plans for approval, examines them to check compliance to by-laws.
- Approves the diagrams for submission to the Town Planner.
- Advises Clients on necessary amendments in the event of rejection to ensure owners are well informed on requirements.
- Checks and recommends the processes of assembling building units into the actual structure at every stage and ensuring that it is compliant with by laws.
- Inspecting completed structures and upon satisfaction issuing out certificate of occupation.
- Test and recommend appropriate building materials to ensure that the builders are well advised on quality material to use.
Requirements
- At least 5 “O” Levels including English and Maths.
- Apprenticeship trained journeyman Skilled Worker Class 1 in any building construction trades (Bricklaying/Carpentry/Plumbing).
- City & Guilds Craft Certificate/National Craft Certificate/National Certificate in Carpentry/Bricklaying/Plumbing.
- At least (3) years post qualification experience.
- A clean record of service and a no criminal record.
- A citizen of Zimbabwe.
- Possession of a minimum clean Class 4 driver’s license.
