Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals for the following vacancies that have arisen in Council

Reportsto Planning Technician

Dutiesand Responsibilities
⦁ Carrying out inspections at vanous levels and updating building inspections records and registers.
⦁ Preparation of bill of quantities.
⦁ Supervise construction projects and
contracts.
⦁ F adlitate registration of artisans and general builders
⦁ Carrying out development control i.e picking out illegal structures
⦁ Scrutinize building plan for appraisals and advising on areasthat need to be corrected.
⦁ Enforcing model building by-laws and public health Act
⦁ Any other duties within the scope of the job as maybe assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience
⦁ Diploma in Construction Technology or Building Services Engineering
⦁ Journeyman class 1 or 2 brick laying
⦁ A Degree in Construction Technology will be an added advantage
⦁ Three years working experience, preferably
in local government environment
⦁ Class 4driver’s license
