Introduction
Women’s Coalition of Zimbabwe (WCoZ) is a national membership-based network of women’s rights organizations and individual women’s rights activists with a mandate to create a focal point for activism on women and girl’s rights. WCoZ is working on an intervention aimed at increasing the influence and capacity of women and youth in acting collectively, through formal and informal groups, for more democratic and accountable governance at every level of society. Through the intervention, WCoZ seeks to ensure effective implementation of its five-year Organisational Strategic Plan which prioritizes capacity development of its members and secretariat in the area of research, documentation and knowledge management.
Tasks under this consultancy
WCoZ is looking for a consultant to build and strengthen the capacities of WCoZ secretariat and members on Research, documentation and knowledge management.
Methodology
In carrying out this work, the Consultant will be expected to conduct a Needs Assessment of the target beneficiaries. The Consultant will prepare and conduct capacity strengthening training workshop for the WCoZ members and secretariat, on research, documentation and knowledge management strategies, skills and tools for development and management of knowledge products on women rights and gender equality.
Key deliverables
Needs Assessment on WCoZ and Members and secretariat research, documentation and knowledge management; WCoZ Guidelines on research, documentation and knowledge management; Training Materials for research, documentation and knowledge management guidelines; Conducting training workshop on research, documentation and knowledge management; Prepare a draft report of the training workshop; Submit a complete final report five days after the training.

Specific guidelines will be discussed with successful candidate
Expected qualifications, experience of the consultant
Advanced university degree in Research, Communication and Development Studies or related field; At least 10 years’ relevant experience in Research; Strong analytical, strategic thinking and planning skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
