BROKER (REINSURANCE BROKING)

We are looking to recruit a suitable candidate for the above position which has arisen at our Head Office in Harare.

Key Performance Areas

* Assess and advise on the price, terms and conditions of reinsurance coverage in line with clients’ and markets risk appetite
* Discussing and negotiating risk placement with producers and markets in line with company standards
* Preparing reinsurance cover notes/ Evidence of Cover and slips to meet and exceed the company minimum standards
* Claims administration
* Ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions
* Credit control and account reconciliations
* Attending to day-to-day client queries
* Carry out other related duties from time to time as and when required by relevant authority
* Assist in acquisition of new business
* Developing and maintaining good Relations with Underwriters and Reinsurers

Minimum Requirements

* Degree in Risk Management and Insurance or Actuarial Science
* Certificate of Proficiency in Short Term Insurance business is an added advantage
* At least 2 years’ experience in non-life Insurance/Reinsurance Underwriting or in Reinsurance broking.
