DISABILITY RESOURCE CENTRE
POST: BRAILLE TRANSCRIBER AND EMBOSSER OPERATOR (HARARE CAMPUS)
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
First Degree in Special Needs Education / ICT in Education
A skills qualification in braille transcription
At least 3 years work experience in a related environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Transcribing braille documents (examination scripts, assignments and tests) for lecturers to mark.
Production of braille documents using an embosser
Assisting/ accompanying students with disabilities in carrying out daily activities in which they need help (using computers and other gadgets, reading, registration, invoice requests and any other learning needs)
Running examinations for students with disabilities (printing and invigilating)
Accompanying and motivating students with disabilities in sporting and club activities
Any other duties assigned by the Coordinator
