Opportunities have arisen within a local NGO working nationally to empower adolescent girls and young women in Zimbabwe socially, economically and psychologically through the use of targeted interventions such as Girls Rights Clubs, Skills Trainings and Health Promotion initiatives. The organization is looking for volunteers under the age of 30 to participate in this opportunity, which provides exposure and experience in the NGO sector and an opportunity to deepen their knowledge and skills.
Duties
Balancing accounts; Maintain a system of accounts and records for all transactions and assets; Perform month-end closing procedures, including account reconciliations and updating schedules; Drawing up financial statements (trial balance, income statement, balance sheet) and maintain accurate and comprehensive records of each day’s transaction
Qualifications
An accounting qualification; A – Level accounting or a diploma in bookkeeping, accounting or business administration; Proficiency in English and use of Excel spreadsheets and MS Word; Experience in a similar position in an NGO sector is an added advantage
