Description

We are looking for a Steam Boiler Operator who can Operate the Boiler as per laid down operating procedures.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Operates the Boiler as per laid down operation procedures.
• Monitors and inspects equipment, computer terminals, switches, valves, gauges, alarms, safety devices and meters.
• Detects leaks or malfunctions to ensure the boiler is operating efficiently and safely.
• Inspects production equipment steam usage.
• Monitors boiler water and chemical levels and adjust to maintain required levels.
• Observes and interprets readings on gauges, meters and charts registering various aspects of boiler operation to ensure that the boiler is operating properly.
• Arranges for water quality testing and makes necessary corrective action such as adding chemicals to prevent corrosion and harmful deposits.
• Updates available log sheets for operation, maintenance and safety activities, tests results, instrument readings, details of equipment malfunction and maintenance work.
• Records operational or production data.
• Adheres to and ensures adherence to safety, health and environment regulations and standard procedures.
• Performs ad – hoc/any other duties assigned by the Superior

Qualifications And Experience

• 5 “O” levels including English Language, Mathematics/Accounts and Science.
• Certificate in Boiler operation or equivalent.
• Any electrical and or mechanical qualification is an added advantage.
• At least three– years experience in a similar role
• Experience in working in a food or confectionery industry.
