Job Summary
The overall objective of the position is to provide boiler making/fabrication and maintenance services for equipment in the underground section.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintenance of equipment in line with S.I. 109 of 1990 (Mining Management and Safety
• Regulations) and other legal requirements
• Plate welding, fabrication and boiler-making work to ensure equipment availability
• Fabrication and repair of chutes
• Projects work
Qualifications And Experience
- Apprenticeship training.
• A minimum of National Certificate in Plate Welding.
• 3 years post – apprenticeship experience in mining or heavy industry.
• Knowledge in welding techniques, interpersonal skills and communication.
• The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate initiative and resourcefulness.
• Knowledge of SHEQ management systems and been a resident of Bindura will be a distinct advantage.
