Job Title:
Board Secretary
Role Purpose:
The successful candidate will serve as the principal governance and statutory officer of the Council.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising the Board on governance, statutory compliance, and procedural matters;
- Coordinating Council and Committee meetings, including preparation of agendas and accurate minutes;
- Maintaining statutory records, registers, and confidential documentation;
- Ensuring compliance with the Social Workers Act and related legislation;
- Supporting disciplinary, ethical, and professional regulatory processes;
- Acting as the liaison between the Council, Ministry, Secretariat, and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Public Administration, Governance, Social Sciences, or Business Administration;
- Professional qualification in Corporate Governance/Company Secretarial Practice or Law is an added advantage;
- Registration with a recognised professional body (e.g. ICSA/CGISA) is desirable;
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in corporate governance, board secretariat services, or statutory bodies.
