About the Company

Wings is the second Korean and fourth overall studio album by South Korean boy band BTS. The album was released on October 10, 2016, by Big Hit Entertainment. It is available in four versions and contains fifteen tracks, with "Blood Sweat & Tears" serving as its lead single. Heavily influenced by Hermann Hesse's coming of age novel, Demian, the concept album thematically deals with temptation and growth. It was later reissued as a repackage album, titled You Never Walk Alone, on February 13, 2017, a continuation of the canon for Wings. Three new songs were added to the track listing, with "Spring Day" and "Not Today" promoted as the lead singles.

What typical qualifications and experience are required for a Board of Directors member in Zimbabwe?

Board members in Zimbabwe typically possess extensive executive-level experience, often 10-15+ years, in relevant sectors such as finance, law, or operations. A strong academic background, including post-graduate qualifications like an MBA or professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ICSA), is highly valued. Expertise in corporate governance, risk management, and strategic planning is also crucial.

Beyond attending meetings, what are the common day-to-day responsibilities and time commitments for a Board Member in Zimbabwe?

While meeting attendance is central, Board Members are also expected to actively engage in committee work, strategic oversight, and robust discussions. This includes reviewing financial reports, contributing to risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks like the Companies and Other Business Entities Act. The role demands significant preparation time for meetings and a commitment to upholding the organization's fiduciary duties.

What cultural nuances and specific expectations should a new Board Member be aware of when serving in Zimbabwe?

Zimbabwean corporate culture often emphasizes consensus-building, respect for seniority, and strong ethical conduct in board interactions. New board members are expected to quickly grasp the local economic landscape and contribute constructively to navigating its unique challenges and opportunities. Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to foster collaborative relationships are highly valued.

How does one typically apply for a Board of Directors position in Zimbabwe, and what key attributes do employers seek?

Appointments to board positions in Zimbabwe often occur through direct recommendations, executive search firms, or established industry networks, rather than open applications. Employers look for individuals with proven leadership, strong ethical integrity, deep industry knowledge, and a clear understanding of corporate governance principles. A track record of strategic thinking, sound judgment, and commitment to stakeholder value is paramount.

What kind of compensation and benefits can a Board Member typically expect in Zimbabwe?
