Zimbabwe Consolidated Diamond Company (Pvt) Ltd (ZCDC), a World Class Diamond Producer for the long-term benefit of Zimbabwe seeks applications from suitably qualified, experienced and self-driven candidates to be considered for the following positions that have arisen in the business:

Reporting to the Engineering Foreman, the job is based at the Mine and responsible for the following:

Summary of Duties:
• Carrying out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to prevent breakdowns.
• Conducting electrical repairs and servicing of all electricals on mobile equipment.
• Carrying out daily inspection and routine checks on mobile equipment.
• Ensuring that breakdowns are resolved in shortest possible time.
• Interpreting electrical circuits and drawings.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
• Five (5) O’ Level passes including Mathematics and English.
• National Certificate in Automobile Electrics and Electronics or related.
• Apprentice trained Auto-Electrician.
• At least 3 years’ post apprenticeship experience in a mining,
processing plant or heavy manufacturing environment.
• Sound knowledge and experience in diagnosing, repairing and maintaining dump trucks, hydraulic excavators, loaders and related mining automobile electrical systems.
• Conversant with condition monitoring and preventative maintenance programs.
• Sound knowledge of SHEQ Management Systems.
