Our client is looking for an analytical and detail-oriented Auto Electrician. The successful candidate will combine a deep knowledge of automotive electrical systems with the practical ability to install, troubleshoot, and calibrate sophisticated electronic networks on modern agricultural machinery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, maintain, dismantle, and systematically move complex auto-electrical components across our heavy equipment.
  • Execute routine maintenance (cleaning wiring channels, lubricating contacts, aligning/adjusting parts, and calibrating sensors).
  • Test, troubleshoot, and repair wiring harnesses, charging systems, electronic control units (ECUs), and order replacement components.
  • Isolate electrical malfunctions by observing machines in operation and running specialized diagnostic software.
  • Pertinently follow diagnostic machinery manuals, circuit diagrams, and electrical schematics to locate faults.
  • Evaluate dimensional constraints of electrical components using micrometers, calipers, and multi-meters.
  • Accurately record all diagnostic findings, software error codes, and work completed on company job cards.
  • Execute minor and major electrical servicing on both light and heavy fleet vehicles.
  • Attend to field callouts and machine breakdowns promptly to minimize seasonal downtime.
  • Place orders for components, verify incoming stock, and practice strict resource conservation.
  • Answer questions and provide technical guidance regarding electrical system health.
  • Attend all scheduled Web Academy training courses to master new-age agricultural intelligence and GPS guidance.
  • Ensure a safe and tidy workshop environment by strictly complying with safety rules and housekeeping regulations.
  • Adhere to HSE policies when receiving and storing automotive electrical supplies.
  • Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times to prevent accidents.

Requirements

  • Class 1 Journeyman Trade Test Certificate in Automotive Electrics.
  • Minimum 3 years of proven, experience in the agricultural sector
  • Documented proficiency working with Case IH tractors and Kuhn farming implements.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
