Freda Rebecca Gold Mine has a vacancy for an Auto-Electrician who will be reporting to the Mobile Plant Foreman in the Underground Engineering Department.
Duties and responsibility
- Performing diagnostics and repairs on Underground and Surface Mining Mobile Equipment.
- Performing scheduled maintenance and statutory testing and inspections on all control and power circuit.
- Installing of new vehicle wiring systems.
- Troubleshooting, repairing and replacing faulty wiring systems and electric components.
- Ability to read Electrical and Electronics schematic circuit diagrams.
- To reduce the Mean Time to Repair(MTTR) for Heavy Mobile Equipment (HMEs).
- Completing workorders and checklists for work or changes performed on all autoelectric circuits.
- Spontaneous response to breakdowns on both surface and underground.

- Job Application Details Qualifications.and.experience Class 1 Auto-Electrician. National certificate in Automobile Electrics. Apprenticeship training is an added advantage. At least 3 years experience in underground mining industry. Experience with Sandvik LH514 loaders, DD210, DL430, Epiroc ROC L8 drill rigs, Shantui and CAT FELs. Should have sound knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.
