Tongogara Rural District Council, invites applications from suitably qualified end experienced person to fill the following position : Auditor – Grade 10
Duties and responsibilities
Reports to the Chief Executive Officer Administratively and to Audit Committee functionally
Examines Council financial and work systems operations to enhance efficient use of resource.
To evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of management control over Councils functional activities
Prepare and present audit reports with recommendation from time to time
Facilitate presentation of external audit to the Audit Committee
Monitor the efficiency economical ethical and effectiveness of performance of internal systems of Council and suggest possible improvements
Attend all Audit Committee meetings Inform and advise the audit committee to make proper decisions
Advise the Chief Executive Officer and the Audit Committee at all times to enhance the Council’s internal control systems
Undertake any duties or investigations assigned by the Chief Executive Officer and or the Audit Committee
Qualifications and Experience
A degree from a recognised university in Auditing, Finance or Accounting.
A full CIS or CIA or CIMA is also acceptable.
At least three years post qualification experience in middle management, accounting or auditing position.
Local government experience is an added advantage At least 30 years old and mature
A citizen of Zimbabwe
A clean record of service within the Local government fraternity
Drivers licence is an added advantage
