ABOUT THE ROLE
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an Internal Auditor on a secondment basis. This role suits a candidate who is on a sabbatical of three (3) months.
The Internal Auditor role provides independent, objective assurance and consulting services designed to add value and improve the company’s operations.
The role demands a high degree of professional independence, analytical rigor, and ethical judgment to objectively assess internal controls, verify financial and operational data integrity, and ensure compliance with both internal policies and external audit and statutory requirements.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate should possess the following:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

Certified Internal Auditor or equivalent is mandatory
-
5-7 years progressive experience being responsible for internal auditing/ external auditing or financial control is required with at least 3 years gained within a manufacturing, engineering, mining or heavy industrial environment.

Work experience in an audit firm is an added advantage.

Experience in integrated ERP systems

Must be a strategic thinker who is risk aware.
