The applicant should be a holder of a Master’s degree in any Social Science or related area. A minimum of five years’ relevant post qualification experience in University Administration is a requirement. Possession of a PhD in a relevant area would be an added advantage. The Applicant plays a pivotal role in the strategic management and decision making process of the University.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Vice Chancellor with monitoring and implementation of key decisions and expansion projects and ensuring the production of high quality documentation for the Vice Chancellors Office
  • Assisting in compiling, editing and publishing University brochures and updates from the Vice Chancellors Office
  • Assisting the Vice Chancellor in monitoring and implementing key decisions, preparing speeches, reports and coordinating events in liaison with the Director of Marketing and Public Relations
  • Assisting in ensuring effective public relations in liaison with both internal and external stakeholders of the University
  • Ensuring an effective responsive, accurate, proactive and collaborative communication with senior management and the University community
  • Assisting the Vice Chancellor in responding to requests
  • Attending Meetings of the Vice Chancellor for follow up and update purposes
  • Monitoring the implementation of key resolutions on behalf of the Vice Chancellor
  • Meetings Management
  • Carrying out any other duties as assigned by the Vice Chancellor.

Chinhoyi University of Technology also known as CUT was established by an Act by the Parliament of Zimbabwe on 10 December 2001. It is located in the town of Chinhoyi in Mashonaland West about 120 km from Harare towards Lake Kariba and the Zambian border.
