About ZIMSEC:

ZIMSEC is an autonomous parastatal under the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education. It is an internationally accredited Examinations Board responsible for:

Assessment, evaluation, and documentation of academic readiness

Monitoring learning progress and skill acquisition

Overseeing examinations at the primary and secondary school levels in Zimbabwe

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide logistical support to security operations
• Coordinate movements and deployment of security personnel
• Ensure compliance with security regulations
• Assist in formulating security strategies and policies
• Develop and manage departmental budgets
• Manage and safeguard security assets
• Conduct security risk assessments
• Implement loss control policies and strategies
• Design and maintain security systems
• Conduct security-related investigations
• Coordinate escort services
• Oversee question paper and examination security processes
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation
• Supervise disaster and fire management initiatives
• Implement a security intelligence framework

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in:
• Police Studies
• Security Management
• Risk Management Or a related field
• Professional certification in any of the above fields (added advantage)
• At least three years of post-qualification experience in security administration
• Experience at the rank of Sergeant, Warrant Officer, or higher in reputable security organizations such as:
• Zimbabwe Republic Police
• Zimbabwe National Army
• Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services (added advantage)

Key Competencies:

• Strong coordination and organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities
• Specialized training in security management
• Knowledge of public administration and criminal justice principles
