ASSISTANT PROJECT CONTROLLER – ZIMPLATS Zimbabwe Platinum Mines (Pvt)

Job Summary
Zimbabwe Platinum Mines (Pvt) Limited (ZIMPLATS) is the largest platinum group metals producer in Zimbabwe. It owns and operates the Selous Metallurgical Complex (SMC), Ngezi Concentrator and the Ngezi Underground Mines.

Duties And Responsibilities
Monitor performance, and recommend improvement areas by developing key performance indicators.
Scope management – to ensure all technical changes are reflected in the project documentations.
Support projects change management process.
To prepare monthly reports, lookaheads, and all required project documentation.
Perform earned value management, conduct variance analysis, and recommend corrective action.
Collect actual project data, and complete weekly accurate progress updates.
Recommend and execute corrective actions to ensure project compliance.
Perform schedule analysis, and implement corrective action. Project schedule management.

Qualifications And Experience
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Recognized qualification in Project Management and/or Engineering related fields.
Qualification in Finance or Business management provides a strong added advantage.
Project planning, and execution control experience in a mining or heavy industrial environment.
Proficiency in Office Packages, and ERP software.
Working knowledge of project financial evaluation reporting models
Experience in developing, updating, tracking, and reporting on project schedules for capital projects
Working experience in developing schedules in Primavera P6 Professional an added advantage.
Proven attention to detail and ability to plan, perform, review, and present work products.
Ability to design and develop dashboards for monitoring, and control.
Experience in project performance monitoring, and control.
