Through its USAID/Perpfar funded OVC programme, the organization is currently seeking services of the following key personnel to ensure programme deliverables are met in Mazowe District:
Duties And Responsibilities
• The Assistant Grants Officer will be assist the Finance and Admin Coordinator in running the project funding, ensuring that all financial policies are complied with, and preparation of financial budgets and reports, ensuring prudent use of the activity resources.
Specifically working on the following, among other duties:
• Assist in formulating activity budgets, monitoring and tracking expenditures in-line
with the approved budget(s).
• Variance analysis, updating pipeline and communicating burn rate with project officers.
• Sensitizing staff members on funding partner regulations and compliance.
• Check supporting documents to ensure requests and expenditures are fully acquitted
in compliance with the finance and procedures manual.
• Assist in payroll processing and ensure timeous submission of statutory deductions.
• Process bank reconciliations, assist in asset management and audit preparations.
• Assist in planning of administrative day to day duties and supervise subordinate staff.
Qualifications And Experience
• Degree in accounting or finance, or professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, ICSA, SAA or IAC
• Familiarity with US Government grant rules and regulations, procurement and auditing standards
will be an added advantage.
• At least 3 years’ experience similar position with a program supported by PEPFAR/USAID.
• Proven understanding of awards management cycle
• Good organizational skills and ability to manage a complex workload and deadlines
• Highly effective administration skills, including computing, word processing, and
data management and visualization
• Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
• Strong time management and organization skills, flexibility, excellent interpersonal
skills, and ability to work collaboratively on a wide range of issues
