Reporting to the Finance Manager – Group financial Accounting, he successful incumbent will be responsible for preparing. recording , interpreting and reporting of the Group consolidated financial accounting information

Summary Of Key Duties& Responsibilities

  • Assist he Finance Manager in designing templates and input data sheets for the consolidation Of statutory  financial results of the Group in the prescribed press release format.
  • Collate input data for the Group’s Integrated Annual Report in compliance to IFRS and other regulatory standards.
  • Review and continuously improve financial reporting processes in line with the reporting norms and requirements.
  • Assist the Finance Manager in the preparation of consolidated monthly financial accounts.
  • Maintain all financial data used in the preparation Of quarterly, half yearly and annual financial reports
  • Track and monitor transactions posted in the Integrated Trial Balance to ensure data integrity
  • Monitor transactions posted in the statement of changes in  owner’s equity and ensure that these are properly  authorised
  • Ensure that all financial reporting is in compliance with all requirements as ZIMRA, RBZ, SEC and other REGULATORY  authorities.
  • Prepare all regulated company returns timeously
  • Ensure that all Reports for Corporate Governance, Corporate Social Responsibility and Corporate Risk Management business are consistent with the Group’s financial reporting framework
  • Assist the Finance Manager in identifying and monitoring financial risk, operational risk and other related accounting business risks.
  • Prepare investment portfolio  performance report and ensure that reward and risk parameters  are in sync with the Group policy guidelines.
  • Prepare daily,weekly and monthly cashflow movement reports.
  • Perform any other duties, assignments and projects assigned by superior from time to time.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, Attributes

  • 6 ‘O’ Level passes including English Language and Mathematics, all obtained within no more than two sittings, preferably passed with a symbol or better and at least 2 ‘A’ level passes.
  • A relevant upper second or better Accounting degree or similar attained from a reputable tertiary institution.
  • Possession of a postgraduate qualification such as CIMA CIS, ACCA and similar is a clear advantage
  • At least 4 years’ relevant experience working with Consolidated Accounts, and Group financial reports
  • Sound knowledge of IFRS and ability to interpret legislative provisions and requirements
  • Be able to work under pressure and within strict deadlines.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel , Word and PowerPoint
