Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of Trial balance & year-end financial pack.
- Preparation of operational cashflows.
- Management of debtors and creditors.
- Maintenance of Cash book records and bank reconciliations.
- Accurate maintenance of Intercompany ledger records.
- General Ledger Reconciliation.
- Attends to Internal and external financial Audits.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory provisions (VAT, PAYE, WTAX, EMA).
- Maintenance of the Asset Register.
- Development and coaching of subordinates.
Requirements
- A first Degree in Accounting or equivalent from a reputable tertiary institution plus at least 3 years post-qualification experience in a mining or manufacturing environment.
- A professional accounting qualification like CIMA and ACCA is a distinct advantage.
- Working knowledge of IFRS and International Accounting Standards (IAS) is a must.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and an ERP system, preferably SAP (Financial Accounting Module), will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of payroll management.
- Working knowledge of safety management system(s) applicable to mining operations/companies, preferably the NOSA and/or ISO Systems.
- Ability to communicate at all levels, both verbally and written.
- Clean Class 4 Driver’s Licence.
