Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced personnel to fill the above- mentioned position within the Technical Services Department – Hard stands construction Project. The incumbent will report to the Technical Services Foreman – Civil and will be based at Glendale Depot.
VACANT POSITION: ASSISTANT CARPENTER X 1
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 ‘O’ Levels including English language and Mathematics.
- Class two skilled certificate in Carpentry and Joinery.
- 2 years’ experience in Construction projects.
CORE COMPETENCE
- A fair understanding of hard stands construction management.
- Good interpersonal skills
- Fair Supervision skills.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES
- Assists the Carpenter in making form work for all concreting construction works.
- Assists the Carpenter in repairs.
- Attends to minor roof repairs.
- Raises requisition of material for erecting new depot roofs and maintenance of depot structures.
- Performs any other work related duties as assigned by the Superior.
