Assistant Accountant

Reporting to the Assistant Accountant, the job is based at Head Office and responsible for the following:

• Proper recording, maintenance and processing General Ledger
• Preparing and maintaining physical files of accounting transactions taking place
• Keep up to date bank reconciliations
• Ensure the availability of statements and documentation to auditors
• Keep complete accounts of receipts and disbursements
• Keep records of all assists at the cost at which they were bought
• Make payments to creditors and follow up on invoices and receipts
• Prepare and submit statutory returns
• Debtors and Creditors reconciliations
• Maintenance of assets register
• Prepare cashbook and bank reconciliations
• Petty cash administration

Minimum qualifications

• Minimum 5 0′ Levels including Mathematics and English
• Possession of at least Diploma in Accounting
• Minimum oft years post qualification experience
• SAP experience is an added advantage
