Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant machinery and equipment.
- Support implementation of asset care and reliability improvement initiatives.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently to minimise downtime.
- Conduct routine inspections and condition monitoring of equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and job reports.
- Collaborate with the production team to improve machine efficiency and performance.
- Assist in continuous improvement and root cause analysis of equipment failures.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Class 1 Journeyman qualification in a relevant trade (Electrician, Millwright, or Instrument Technician).
- Strong knowledge of maintenance systems and asset care principles.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office; CMMS experience is an advantage).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in PLC and automation systems, with hands-on experience in Siemens, Mitsubishi, and ABB robot programming.
