Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant machinery and equipment.
  • Support implementation of asset care and reliability improvement initiatives.
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently to minimise downtime.
  • Conduct routine inspections and condition monitoring of equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and job reports.
  • Collaborate with the production team to improve machine efficiency and performance.
  • Assist in continuous improvement and root cause analysis of equipment failures.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
  • Class 1 Journeyman qualification in a relevant trade (Electrician, Millwright, or Instrument Technician).
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance systems and asset care principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
  • Basic computer literacy (MS Office; CMMS experience is an advantage).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in PLC and automation systems, with hands-on experience in Siemens, Mitsubishi, and ABB robot programming.
