Job Summary

AFC Commercial Bank, a subsidiary of AFC Holdings seeks to recruit an AREA MANAGER: HARARE & MASHONALAND CENTRAL & WEST. Reporting to the Head – Retail Banking, the Area Manager’s main role will be to manage Client Services Teams and Lo ensure operational excellence by delivering high-quality Service and Products to the Bank’s Retail Customers. The function is also required to drive the Sales Strategy in the Area and manage all the branches under the area to achieve set targets.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Leading branches to achieve set sales targets as well as meet the high-quality service standards set by the organization.
• Monitoring sales performance by branches and ensuring that product uptake by clients is at set targets.
• Coaching and training Branch Managers and staff on the most effective ways of growing client base and client satisfaction.
• Maintaining close relationships with key stakeholders in the area in order to identify and exploit business growth opportunities.
• Monitoring I financial Performance of branches and ensuring the branches surpass revenue and profit targets.
• Managing Operational Risks at branches as per set guidelines.
• Ensuring branches are complying with Anti-Money Laundering and CFT requirements and policies.
• Identifying skills gaps and ensuring staff are trained and are well skilled to deliver as per requirements.

Qualifications And Experience

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Studies, Business Management, Banking, Economics or equivalent.

• A Masters Degree will be an added advantage.

   

• Solid Retail Banking exposure, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant Retail Banking working experience at managerial level.
