AMENITIES SUPERVISOR

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill of the position of Amenities Supervisor which has arisen in the Housing and Community Services Department.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Inspect landscaped areas, cemetery, recreation facilities, parks and Council building.
* Identify facilities repair needs and ensure hygiene standards are met within Councils public areas.
* Supervise proper handling, storage, use and disposal of pesticides.
* Initiate fumigation calendar for all Council facilities.
* Identifying areas that require improvement in the amenities section.
* Preparations of project timelines.
* Instruct subordinates on work techniques, use of equipment and safety precautions and requirements.
* Supervise men and evaluate subordinates.
* Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

* 5 “O” Level passes including English Language
* Diploma in horticulture and grounds maintenance from a recognized institute or closely related field supplemented by course work.
* 2 years’ experience working as Amenities Supervisor, facilities or Maintenance Supervisor or any related field.
