Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Alumni Relations Strategic plan aligned with university annual plan.
  • Provide strategic guidance to alumni executive, groups and chapters to unlock support for university, activities, projects and initiatives.
  • Act as a key liaison person between the university and alumni .
  • Create strong and positive connections.
  • Develop and implement strategies to keep alumni informed about university activities, events and projects.
  • Provide guidance to alumni chapters to facilitate their activities and smooth engagement.
  • Create and manage communication platforms to alumni .
  • Collaborate with fundraising teams to encourage alumni donations, scholarships, research and university development.
  • Analyse alumni data and provide reports to university leadership on possible levels of engagement.
  • Monitor alumni career developments and achievements for university visibility.

Requirements

  • Master of Science Degree in Marketing, Media, Communication, Journalism or any related field.
  • Minimum of four (4) years working experience in Marketing, Media Communication or business.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for donor and alumni relations.
  • Knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor cultivation.
  • Experience managing fundraising events and corporate partnerships.
  • Good networking skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proficiency in use of relevant computer applications.
  • Crisis communication and media relations expertise.
  • Strong digital, social media and marketing skills and techniques.
  • Experience in video production, editing and podcasting will be added advantage.
