Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Alumni Relations Strategic plan aligned with university annual plan.
- Provide strategic guidance to alumni executive, groups and chapters to unlock support for university, activities, projects and initiatives.
- Act as a key liaison person between the university and alumni .
- Create strong and positive connections.
- Develop and implement strategies to keep alumni informed about university activities, events and projects.
- Provide guidance to alumni chapters to facilitate their activities and smooth engagement.
- Create and manage communication platforms to alumni .
- Collaborate with fundraising teams to encourage alumni donations, scholarships, research and university development.
- Analyse alumni data and provide reports to university leadership on possible levels of engagement.
- Monitor alumni career developments and achievements for university visibility.
Requirements
- Master of Science Degree in Marketing, Media, Communication, Journalism or any related field.
- Minimum of four (4) years working experience in Marketing, Media Communication or business.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills for donor and alumni relations.
- Knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor cultivation.
- Experience managing fundraising events and corporate partnerships.
- Good networking skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in use of relevant computer applications.
- Crisis communication and media relations expertise.
- Strong digital, social media and marketing skills and techniques.
- Experience in video production, editing and podcasting will be added advantage.
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple campaigns at once.
