Duties And Responsibilities

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Managing the Activities of Organically certified produce.
    • Develops and manages the performance of subordinates in achievement of agreed strategy, business plans, budgets and productivity.
    • Developing and Implementing cropping programme according to schedule and maintain organic farming data base.
    • Maintaining and regularly up-dating the operational plan for the project including projects performance, budget allocations, nutrient application and expenditures.
    • Ensures quality, quantity and efficiency of timeous harvesting, drying, grading and transport of crops
    • Publishing daily, weekly, monthly targets
    • Publishing daily, weekly, monthly achievements and results
    • Identifying shortcomings, publishing them, suggesting solutions and agreeing on solution approach with management on farm and CEO of OAH, eliminating shortcomings
    • Identifying potentials, publishing them, suggesting solutions and agreeing on solution approach with management on farm and CEO of OAH, implementing potentials
    • Weekly written report on consultancy activities and achievements against target
    • Weekly written report on production progress against target
    • Planning and implementing quality, quantity and efficiency of timeous harvesting, drying, grading and transport of crops.

Qualifications And Experience

 

Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelors in General Agriculture, Crop Science or similar
• 10 Years work experience as farm manager with more experience in intensive high value crops
• Experience in certification
