AGRICULTURE AND NATURAL RESOURCES OFFICER – GRADE 10
REPORTS TO: CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
JOB DESCRIPTION
• Heading the Agriculture and Natural Resources Department
• Provision of Secretariat to the Environment Committee
• Planning and coordinating departmental activities
• Management of mining activities in the District.
• Monitor the extraction and exploitation of Natural Resources in the District
• Ensuring that the natural resources are sustainably utilised for the benefit of Mutasa Community.
• Crafting appropriate by-laws for consideration by Council and enforcing them.
• Create and maintaining an updated database of community and commercial plantations in the District.
• Resuscitate CAMPFIRE projects and maintain Council plantations.
• Managing the environment in liaison with Government departments, Agencies and Development partners.
• Promotion of Agricultural activities in the District.
• Management of Council Agriculture and Natural Resources IGPs.
• Preparation and implementation of the departmental budget

- Job Application Details QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE • At least 5 O' Levels including English and Maths. • At least Artisan Journeyman Class 1 in Bricklaying. • At least three years post qualification experience in a similar position. Local government / Public Works experience is an added advantage. • Ability to ride a motorbike is an added advantage. • At least 30 years old and must be mature. • A Clean Criminal record. • Must be a Zimbabwean citizen.
