Position summary
A Non-Governmental Organisation would like to hire an intern to support its advocacy, research and strategic litigation department at its Head Office in Harare. The intern will assist in developing advocacy strategies, conducting research for knowledge products and strategic litigation work. They will also assist in event planning and advocacy initiatives. The intern will report to the Advocacy, Research and Strategic Litigation Coordinator.
Responsibilities
Act as the liaison between lawyers and the Advocacy department; Develop good relationships with the organisations stakeholders; Assists with coordinating the organisations advocacy strategy; Assist staff in conducting research; Assist in conducting strategic litigation; Assist with field projects related to advocacy
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Law; Strong administrative and organizational skills; Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail; Excellent writing, problem solving and time management skills; Aptitude in presentation and public speaking; Curious and eager to learn; Excellent spoken and written English.
