Organization profileThe TENDAI Steps Together Trial is a two-arm randomized effectiveness trial evaluating a brief, stepped care treatment for depression and ART adherence in viremic patients with HIV. The Tendai Steps Together Trial is a study conducted by the University of Zimbabwe College of Health Sciences in collaboration with Kings College London Institute of Psychiatry Psychology and Neuroscience (London UK) and the Department of Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital / Harvard Medical School. The is in Harare with frequent travel to Marondera with a full-time, 12 months contract (renewable-pending availability of funds).
Job descriptionThe position involves providing administrative and clerical support to the TENDAI Study.
Key tasks and responsibilitiesPlanning and organising meetings; Taking minutes of weekly meetings and compiling the weekly reports; Handling and reconciling petty cash; Supporting stock management of supplies for the study; Supporting logistic arrangements for meetings; Supporting the preparation of regulatory files for submission; To provide data entry support; Conduct literature reviews when needed; The administrative assistant should be proactive, have excellent attention to detail, and good writing skills.
We expect the following qualificationsRecent graduate with Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field; Excellent computer skills as all evaluations will be completed electronically; Basic knowledge of the principles of the ethical conduct of research; Excellent computer skills; Clean class 4 licence required; Experience in mental health research; Ability to work well with others and integrate into the public health care system.
