Vacancy : ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT/ASSISTANT: MARKETING, INFORMATION & PUBLIC RELATIONS (1 POST)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Write to optimize content for the website, digital newsletters, print publications and social networking sites.
• Ensure consistency in terms of messaging of communication materials and digital channels or social media.
• Develop and implement the University communication strategy.
• Corporate communication – write, edit and proof read University publications, e.g annual reports, newsletters, press or news release articles and advertisements.
• Service University committees.
• Ensure that stakeholder queries are attended to.
• Actively participate in activities that market the University locally and internationally.
• Seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of the University, University brand and coordinate publicity events as required.
• Maintain records of media coverage and collate analytics and metrics.

Desired Qualifications and Experience

• BA in English and Communication
• MA in English and Communication is an added advantage.
• At least three (3) years post qualification hands on experience.
• University experience is a further added advantage.
• Knowledge of desktop publishing softwares (Adobe photoshop) is a distinct advantage.
• Excellent in verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience in content creation, editing and writing.
