Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily administrative operations, manage office resources and ensure the smooth flow of information within the department.
  • Planning and Coordinating administrative procedures and systems and devise ways to streamline processes
  • Assist in the preparation, monitoring and reporting of departmental budgets and financial transactions.
  • Ensure adherence to university policies, regulatory requirements and best practices in governance and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records, manage data systems and prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate departmental events, service committees and provide logistical and secretarial support for meetings.
  • Demonstrate initiative, exercise sound judgment and uphold the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality and integrity in all aspects of work.
  • Supervision of Staff.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Education from a recognized institution.
  • A Master’s Degree would be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience in an administrative role.
  • Administrative work experience in an Institution of Higher Learning would be an added advantage.
  • Ability to think creatively and possess excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be results-driven, resilient, self-motivated, highly disciplined with good problem-solving and critical-thinking skills and be paced, results-oriented and ambiguous work environment
  • Be a strong team player, able to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
  • In addition, the individual must demonstrate ICT competences
