Zimnat Life Assurance is seeking a highly motivated Actuarial Graduate Trainee to join our team. Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in corporate and pension fund actuarial valuations, including data validation, benefit calculations, liability determination, and consolidation of results.
  • Performing data preparation, cleansing, reconciliation, and validation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Supporting experience investigations and analysis of demographic and financial assumptions.
  • Assisting in product development, pricing reviews, and benefit design analysis.
  • Supporting automation, digitization, and process improvement initiatives within the actuarial function.
  • Assisting in daily, monthly, and annual actuarial task runs and reporting cycles.
  • Preparing draft actuarial reports, schedules, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conducting peer reviews and quality checks on actuarial calculations and outputs.
  • Liaising with other departments to support actuarial projects and deliverables.
  • Performing any other duties assigned by the Senior Actuarial Consultant.

Requirements

  • An Undergraduate Degree in Actuarial Science or Mathematics.
  • At least one (1) actuarial examination pass.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in the insurance sector, preferably life insurance.
  • A sound understanding of actuarial and financial concepts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong professional work ethic and integrity.
