Job Summary
The Salvation Army-Howard Mission Hospital is a registered faith based organization providing clinical and social services to marginalized communities in Mashonaland Central of Zimbabwe. The organization is committed to improve the wellbeing of people through quality health care, child protection and household economic empowerment. A dedicated team of experts with a mix of unique talent help the organization in addressing the community’s connected challenges. Through its USAID/Perpfar funded OVC programme, the organization is currently seeking services of the following key personnel to ensure programme deliverables are met in Mazowe District:
Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist Health officer to conduct household assessments and verifications
- Identifying children in need of protection and health services and link them with resource systems.
- Work closely with DSD to conduct follow ups and home visits
- Assist to facilitate Case conferences for complex HIV related cases
- Facilitate case reviews.
- Conducting
- Assisting in the documentation and evidence-building for case management
- Assist in maintaining proper and up to date case management files
- Assessing clients for case plan achievement and graduation readiness
- Ensure any violations or non-compliance to Howard Hospital Child protection and safeguarding policy are reported to the Safeguarding Focal Person.
- Check data quality on data submitted by community cadres and other officers
Qualifications And Experience
• A university degree in Social Work
• Registration as a Social Worker in terms of the Social Workers Act (Chapter 27:21) added advantage
• At least 3 years experience working with vulnerable groups, particularly children
• Experience of working with either children, women, local community structures and government structures
• Excellent report writing and communication skills
• Ability to work with little or no supervision
• Results oriented and able to work under pressure and with strict deadlines
