Position Description
Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk (1year contract)
Reporting to: Accounting Assistant-Finance
Closing Date: 7 March 2025
Location: Bulawayo

Duties and Responsibilities

The position exists to execute the school’s mandate as stipulated in the ZSM Charter. Duties and responsibilities shall entail
 Process payments to suppliers.
 Petty cash reconciliation.
 Accounts Payable reconciliation.
 Generating reports detailing accounts payable status (payments schedules, payables age analysis/Expenditure Arrears Listing etc.).
 Maintaining accounts payables records.
 Maintaining excellent communication and relationship with suppliers.

Qualifications and Experience

 A degree in Accounting.
 3 A Level passes.
 ‘O’ Level passes including Math, English, Accounts and Commerce.
 Experience in various finance related activities an added advantage.
 Knowledge of bank and general ledger reconciliations is a must.
 Knowledge of maintaining debtors accounts is must.
 High degree of paying attention to detail and accuracy.
 Knowledge of pastel system is a must and general and computer skills.
 A minimum of 4 experience in a similar position.
