Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following posts which have arisen within Mudzi Rural District Council
Reports to the Accountant
Duties and responsibilities
⦁ Ensuring ALL council revenue is invoiced.
⦁ Ensuring all previous day receipts are checked, mastered and banked intact on a daily basis.
⦁ Daily updating of cashbooks.
⦁ Daily updating/capturing of all transactions in the computerized accounting system and ensuring all receipts are matched to relevant invoices.
⦁ Maintaining and updating of accounts receivables
⦁ Following up on all council debtors and revenue collections.
⦁ Compiling payment vouchers for payments.
⦁ Effecting payments via cash or bank transfers.
⦁ Ensuring all disbursed funds are acquitted accordingly
⦁ Capturing all payments and invoices into the computerised accounting system on a daily basis
Qualifications and experience
⦁ A holder of at least a HND or Degree in Accounting. CIS or equivalent
from a recognized institution.
⦁ Experience with Sage Pastel
⦁ At least one year relevant experience in a council set up
⦁ At least 25 years old and mature.
