Job Description

M&J Africa is seeking motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Attachment Students to join our Finance and Accounting department. This opportunity is ideal for students currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field who want hands-on experience in a dynamic business environment. The selected candidates will assist with various accounting functions, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, tax compliance, and financial reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
-Assist in recording and maintaining accurate financial transactions.
-Prepare and update financial reports under supervision.
-Perform bank reconciliations and assist in the reconciliation of accounts.
-Support in accounts receivable and payable management.
-Assist in payroll processing and statutory deductions.
-Support tax computations, VAT returns, and other statutory compliance.
-Help in conducting financial analysis and budgeting.
-Assist in preparing invoices, quotations, and payment vouchers.
-Maintain proper filing of accounting documents.
-Use accounting software such as QuickBooks, Pastel, or Odoo for financial processing.
-Collaborate with the finance team on audits and internal controls.
-Perform any other duties as assigned by the Finance Manage

Qualifications and Experience

Requirements:
-Currently pursuing a Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
-Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Pastel, or Odoo is an added advantage).
-Strong analytical and numerical skills.
-High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
-Ability to work independently and in a team.
-Good communication and interpersonal skills.
-Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced work environment.
